It took a long time, but I now have my blog running WordPress 2.3 and my theme has been updated to go along with it. If there is one thing that I love about the Web 2.0 style now, it's that everything gets tags. So, I was originally planning to get a tag plugin, but I read about some of them and they sounded quite complicated, and I assumed that they would be useless when this update came out. Luckily for users of tag plugins, WordPress 2.3 can import all the tags into the integrated tag library, though I wasn't entirely wrong. So, as you've probably noticed, there is now a line under my original post meta for tags, and clicking on one of them brings you to a page that shows the top three tags and links you to my Tag Cloud page. I decided not to have the entire tag cloud above the tag archives, it looked too cluttered and disorganized. It could be worked into some blogs, though, and putting in on a sidebar for just that page would look great. I've been searching for a way to display my Xbox Live status as an RSS feed or similar for my Lifestream. Fortunately, I've been using Duncan Mackenzie's Twitter application. There's even an API and some other stuff. Unfortunately, I have no idea what to do with it. Yeah. Now, I created an alternative method to using the API, but it requires Twitter, the previously mentioned Xbox to Twitter application and Yahoo! Pipes. Also, sometimes it doesn't work. I'm going to show you how to set it up, though I would much prefer someone showed me how to set it up using the API. Firstly, you'll need a Twitter account. Twitter is an increasingly popular site which is used to tell people your real-life status. It's kind of hard to explain without making it sound weird, so just sign up and try it out. If you want you can add me as a friend. Now, there are two ways to do this. If you want a Twitter account to be devoted to this Xbox Live status only, it's a lot easier. If you want to do this with an existing Twitter account that you are using, as I did, you'll need to follow the full instructions. Now, you need to install Xbox to Twitter and you should probably set it to run at start up as you'll need this program running for anything to happen. Put in your Xbox Gamertag, Twitter username and Twitter password. Read the instructions on how you want your status to be formatted. I use the following. Xbox Live Status: <game>, <info>.

Browsing Digg yesterday, I came across a funny article about (fake) rejected Xbox 360 Achievements. Inspired, I set out to create my own, complete with original images. They are all built off experiences of my own or ones friends have told me. This limited my choice of games and ideas, so there are only six right now, maybe I'll add more if I think of some good ones. Crackdown: Have a Heart
