This list is much longer than I intended, but I do play a lot of games. I was supposed to have one list for everything that happened this year, music movies, games, websites, and so on. I have to do the other things later, though, so here's the long games list. Let me know what you think of my picks, the full list is after the jump. Downloadable Game of the Year Band of Bugs (XBLA) Band of Bugs is still my top-played Xbox Live Arcade game. I have really enjoyed Fire Emblem in the past, but it is a pretty heavy game. Band of Bugs is the perfect casual turn-based tactical game. It's colourful and has wonderful variety, a great selection of multiplayer modes and a stellar level designer. Band of Bugs was also the first game to fully utilize the Gamescore policy and add an extra three Achievements with downloadable campaigns, which were also great. Honourable Mention Carcassone (XBLA), Super Metroid (VC) Carcassone is the perfect port of a board game to a video game. Super Metroid finally getting re-released was also a great gaming experience for me, as now my Metroid collection is complete.

Everyone Was Right (About BioShock)

This post contains minor spoilers from the video game BioShock. My plan with BioShock was to completely ignore it. I never specifically followed it before and during its release, and I never got excited for it. Good thing, too, as I thing it came out while my 360 was gone. With so many games coming out, I figured I'd have to ignore a few, and for some reason BioShcok just didn't click with me early on, and I didn't let myself like the demo for fear of wanting the game. Anyways, Harry, who has now been mentioned in three successive blog entries, lent it to be because now his 360 bricked, and for the second time, too. Since he really has no need for the game until his box gets back, he insisted I tried it. While it's fairly short by today's standards, (and, for that reason, is a game I still don't feel I need to own) I'm very glad I did.

Prince of Procrastinating

While I have a number of topics to blog about, I've not been getting far before saving it as a draft and moving onto something else. Well, today I'm going to finish my review of Prince of Persia: Classic, which I bought off XBLA two weeks ago. While also being quite a good remake, it forced me to do more studying for exams than I otherwise might have, as I only could play video games for an equal amount of time to that paid to my studies. Now, exams have passed and I don't have to worry about anything school-related for a week or so, so I can focus even more time than I normally do to video games. Hooray! To be clear, PoP:C is not a new game in the regular sense of the term. It's half-way between a remake and a re-release. If you don't know the history of ...
