I'm nearing the end of a drama project, it has been taking up a lot of time the past few days. Basically, last Monday, we were put into groups and we got to pick a movie genre. We have to make a short film at least two minutes in length in that genre to the best of our ability. The catch is that we only had two weeks to do so, and pre-production didn't go as smoothly as planned so the group I'm in has been under more than a little pressure, especially today. So, the internets would not be quiet about SoaP. Homemade T-shirts? Music? Crappy blogs that only talked about Snakes still probably had more readers than mine? Check, check and check. It seemed like a lot of hype for a movie whose title told the whole story. On Sunday I went to the movie expecting a laugh, and I got it. What I didn't expect was an exciting, entertaining movie who could make fun of itself. Obviously you can't go to a movie like Snakes on a Plane and expect a realistic, clever storyline.
