Crash and Burn
So, BioShock hates me. I’ve been experiencing problems with the game, and before you say LB + RB until the 2k logo,
I know. But seriously, I can’t find help for my problem with the game. While most people seem to be having small moments where the game freezes and then keeps going, mine crashes entirely. I know this isn’t like my pre-Red Ring of Death crashes, too, and thank goodness for that. Before, I could tell it was the Xbox since if I disconnected the wireless controller and then tried to re-connect it, it couldn’t find anything. Now, the controller re-connects without a problem, but BioShock is stuck in an infinite loop. I managed to get the game to work long enough to play through Neptune’s Bounty after managing to get through the first level after four tries. I had to save every five minutes, and it seemed if I didn’t the game would crash and I wouldn’t have any recent save data to go back to anyways. So, I tried deleting the save file I was currently using and then saving it as a new game, which worked for a while, but now the same problems are back and the delete-and-save isn’t working. This hasn’t happened on any other game, XBLA, retail, demo, nothing. If it really is this last patch that caused all these problems, 2k really needs to get another one out to fix it. I believe there is already one out for the PC croud, and while I have no problem with Games for Windows users getting their turn first for once, I’d rather not be shafted. I suppose if I can’t find a fix, I’ll clear my hard drive cache, which should get rid of all the title updates (sadly enough, I don’t think there’s a way to do it for just one game) and then I’ll finish hard mode offline. It’s really annoying, not only could I be way closer to being done with BioShock, but I never really wanted to play the game through again in the first place. Thanks to this stupid Achievement addiction, I can’t have a game sit at 96% completion on my Gametag forever. Believe it or not this post was originally going to be about the save fix I discovered to try and help other people; now I’m reluctant to even categorize it under “Entertainment.”

Sucks :/ I had the game freeze on me an awful lot, but it didn’t crash once. I see I’m a little late to the party though and you’ve actually managed to finish the game. 1000/1000. Aah, it must feel good :)
