Today Games Workshop hosted the Medusa V campagin event “Scorched Earth.” We didn’t really follow the specific stuff that we were supposed to, but the store staff got us going and myself and one other guy got playing, more people showed up and the staff switched spots with them and by the time I left we had five people playing with between 300 and 400 pts. going at it on a 4 by 4 ft. board. It was pretty crazy. Oh, if you have no idea what I’m talking about at this point you can pretty much ignore this post, I’m only going to talk about it. I didn’t last as long in the game as some of the guys, of course I started playing a lot earlier than a lot of them. We could keep bringing our units ‘back to life’ and just counted kills and deaths on a chart, I just never brought anyone back seeing as I didn’t want to spend from 11:00 to 3:00 or later at the store. I still had a lot of fun while I was there, though. I entered a model in the painting competition Games Workshop West Edmonton Mall is running right now. I don’t expect to win or anything but I like to participate in this stuff. More pictures on Flickr.
